City Island Walkabout
City Island- a New England fishing village in the Bronx is a neighborhood that time seems to have forgotten. Rich in nautical and revolutionary history the island is approximately three quarters of a mile long and really is a walk into the past. We will meander through this quaint enclave of antiques shops, art galleries, sail makers, boat yards and restaurants. Stops will include a sea captains housel Johnny‘s Reef Restaurant, the Harlem Yacht Club and the City Island Museum. Meet at 1 PM at Johnny‘s Reef Restaurant at the south end of the island. Tour is rain or shine.
Arthur Avenue Walkabout
Visit the local bread stores, pastry shops, markets and explore the tastes of Belmont in the Bronx-the real Little Italy.
